Humidity, mold, allergens, dust, pet dander - Florida indoor air faces it all. Eagle AC installs UV light air purifiers, iWave systems, whole-home humidifiers and dehumidifiers, and high-MERV filtration upgrades. (Note: we outsource duct cleaning to a specialist partner - it's the right tool for that job.)
We see homes daily with chronic mold growth in air handlers, condensate pans, or behind drywall - all caused by humidity that the AC isn't pulling down to safe levels. Indoor humidity above 60% feeds mold, dust mites, and bacteria. We test your home's actual humidity, run static pressure on your ductwork, and recommend the most cost-effective fix - sometimes just a properly sized AC, sometimes adding a dedicated dehumidifier.
Humidity assessment included with any AC service
Static pressure testing - confirms your system can handle filter upgrades
Honest recommendations - we will not push iWave if a UV light is enough
Pair IAQ upgrades with new system installs for best price
UV lights and iWave systems demonstrably reduce mold and airborne pathogens. Higher-MERV filters reduce particulate. The bigger gains usually come from fixing humidity issues - if your house sits above 60% RH, no purifier will solve underlying mold problems.
Why don't you do duct cleaning?
Duct cleaning is a specialty job that requires specific equipment we don't carry. We work with a trusted local partner and refer customers when it's truly needed. Most ducts in Gainesville don't need cleaning - they need sealing or replacement.
How much do these systems cost?
UV lights $400-$700 installed. iWave $750-$1,200. Whole-home dehumidifier $1,800-$3,500. Air purifier with high-MERV $300-$900. We bundle with new AC installs for better pricing.
Should I just buy a portable air purifier?
For one room, sure - they work. For whole-home protection, in-duct systems are far more effective because they treat ALL the air your AC moves, not just the air in one room.
