Most of Newberry's growth since 2018 is in the subdivisions off SR 26 and SW 15th Ave: Avalon Woods, CountryWay of Newberry, Newberry Oaks, Newberry Corners, West End, Tara Verde. Those homes came with builder-grade 14 to 16 SEER split heat pumps, and the systems built 2019 to 2021 are now hitting their first real repairs. The calls we get from these streets are usually a failed capacitor, a contactor that stuck, a float switch tripped by a clogged drain line, or a blower that quit. All of them are same-day fixes, and most of the parts are still under the manufacturer's 10-year warranty if the unit was registered. We check that before you pay for a part.
The other Newberry is older: the ranch homes and brick houses near downtown and Newberry Elementary, the 1970s and 80s homes along SW 1st Ave and NW 2nd St, Honey Bee Farms and Newtown 1894 from the mid-2000s, and the acreage properties on CR 337, SW 46th Ave and out toward Archer. Here the system is often 15 to 20 years old, the ductwork is in a vented attic that hits 130 degrees in July, and the house is on well water and septic. We know where the drain fields usually sit, so we don't park a new condenser on top of one, and we carry parts for the older package units and strip-heat air handlers that are still common out there.
Driving from our shop at NW 43rd St and 39th Ave, Newberry is about 20 minutes down Newberry Rd. We route Newberry calls together so a morning no-cool in Avalon Woods and an afternoon tune-up in CountryWay don't each wait on a truck coming from the other side of Gainesville.

No. Our flat-rate pricing is the same whether you're in Haile Plantation or out past Dudley Farm. Andy and Alex started Eagle AC in part because they were tired of watching rural customers get charged for the drive.
Builder-grade systems are sized and installed to a budget, and the first components to go are usually the capacitor, the contactor, or the condensate float switch, often between year four and year seven. The good news is the compressor and coil are usually still under the manufacturer's parts warranty. We confirm your registration before quoting a part.
Two things. We locate the drain field before we place or replace an outdoor unit, and if your condenser is near the well head we keep the condensate drain routed away from it. If your water has heavy minerals, we also check the evaporator coil for scale from any humidifier or misting system.
Yes. For detached buildings without ductwork, a ductless mini-split is usually the right answer: one outdoor unit, one or more wall heads, no duct losses in the attic. We install them on Newberry acreage properties regularly.
We do. A lot of the homes near Newberry Elementary and along SW 1st Ave still run package units or air handlers with electric strip heat. We carry the common parts on the truck and will tell you plainly when a repair stops making sense versus a replacement.
